  Baoping Village, also called Bilan Village in ancient times, is an important border town of Yazhou Ancient City and the gateway of coastal defense. Baoping Village was founded in the Tang Dynasty, with a history of more than 1,100 years and profound cultural heritages. It is a famous national historical and cultural village and the first batch of traditional villages in China, as well as the village in the revolutionary base area of Hainan and one of the top 10 cultural villages in Hainan.

  Now when visitors come to Baoping Village, they can still see a monument in memory of the martyrs and victims of the Baoping area who bravely joined the revolution and sacrificed their lives for national independence and liberation. After more than 20 years, many people still come to pay their respects to mourn the martyrs and the victims every memorial day.
