Sanya to host 27th intl wedding festival in Dec

The 27th Tianya Haijiao International Wedding Festival will be held from Dec 1 to 3 in Sanya, South China's Hainan province.

It will include eight main events. The opening ceremony will feature a showcase of Chinese-style wedding dresses and a traditional "Tianya Wedding" that embodies both the traditional Chinese aesthetic of and the fashion trends of contemporary Chinese weddings. The closing ceremony will include an annual award ceremony and a Western-style light chiffon wedding dress show, presenting the achievements of the entire wedding industrial chain.

Building upon the success of the 26-year history of the Tianya Wedding, wedding dress shows, and the national annual wedding awards, this edition of the wedding festival will include new events and formats.

In addition to the opening and closing ceremonies at the main venue of Tianya Haijiao, the festival will also feature events at three sub-venues: Daxiaodongtian, Luhuitou, and Dadonghai.

The event will integrate Sanya's wedding industry resources and explore innovative "wedding + tourism" products as well as the integration and development of related industries, involving hotels, scenic spots, duty-free shops, and retail industries, among other key tourism sectors, to enhance the value of the Sanya Wedding Festival brand.

The festival aims to create a comprehensive cultural and tourism event that combines social and economic benefits as well as contributes to Sanya's efforts to become a world-class wedding and tourism destination.
