Sanya listed among China's top 10 must-visit cities

The "Top 10 Must-Visit Cities in China for 2023" list was unveiled at the World Travel Market London, which was held from Nov 6 to 8, which included the tropical resort city of Sanya.

Taking into account factors such as transportation convenience and internationalization, the list showcases China's diverse natural landscapes, rich cultural attractions, and unique cuisine. It offers international travelers a multitude of tourism choices.

Presented by the English media outlet China’s Moment, the list features the following 10 cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Chengdu, Wuhan, Shangri-La, Qingdao, Nanchang, Sanya, and Guiyang.

Xue Ling, the director of the China National Tourist Office in London, expressed her delight in presenting the list to the public. She said that tourists can watch adorable pandas in Sichuan, learn about heroic stories in Jiangxi, enjoy a cold beer in Qingdao during summer, and experience a warm winter in Sanya. She warmly invited friends from around the world to travel to China.

The annual World Travel Market London is one of the largest and highest-profile tourism events globally. It serves as an indicator for international travelers and the tourism industry. This year marks the first time a Chinese delegation has participated since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak. It was organized by the China National Tourist Office in London, with representatives from Beijing, Shanghai, Shaanxi, Hubei, and Jiangxi provinces and municipalities attending.
