02 【There's a Hometown Called "End of the Earth"】

 

 

Ten thousand years ago, the "Luobi Cave people" lit the first bonfire on the island of Sanya, and this fertile land in the southern frontier has since been cultivated, creating the earliest primitive culture.

Time is silent, but stones can speak. Since the Song Dynasty, countless literati and poets have traveled here, composing verses and inscriptions on the cliffs.

Visit the ancient city at the southernmost tip of our motherland—Yazhou Ancient City, also known as "two thousand years of establishment history, the place of eight dynasties' prefectures and counties." It was an important node on the Maritime Silk Road. Stroll along the city walls to listen to the past glory and vicissitudes, look up at the ancient city gates, and recount the past and present of Sanya.

In this November, meet in Sanya for another sports event called the 12th National Traditional Ethnic Sports Games. Firecracker, Pearl Ball, Wood Ball Shuttlecock, Bamboo Drifting, Coconut Climbing Speed Race... all are traditional sports of ethnic minorities, igniting the most dazzling ethnic style.
