Day One Wuzhizhou Island
Looking for an unforgettable marine education experience for your child? Early morning on Wuzhizhou Island is the perfect choice. Professional instructors will provide mini snorkeling masks and safety float boards for children over 6 years old, guiding them to swim through the coral forest with the horns. It is recommended to rent an underwater camera. The images of those purple fish swarming past the flippers will serve as the best pre-lesson material for a biology class.
In the afternoon, you might want to visit the coral farm in Hailai Village. The children shape coral branches out of clay and watch in real time through underwater cameras as the little fish move into their “new homes”. The most impactful education often comes from contrast: when plastic bottle debris is pushed towards the coral reef by the tide, without your prompting, the children will voluntarily ask to bring their own water bottles next time. -

Day Two Li Village
Shenjin Village in Baoting County houses the most vibrant cultural classroom in Sanya. In the early morning when the breeze is cool, the Miao girls will put silver-bedecked tube skirts on the little kids. As the drumbeat of the bamboo pole dance starts, the comical scenes of the dads scrambling about always trigger laughter. The real essence lies in front of the boat-shaped houses – the intangible cultural heritage inheritors demonstrate how the waist loom turns colored threads into cloud-like patterns. Although the cup pads woven by parents and children together are small, the secrets of the Li embroidery have quietly been imprinted in the memories. Don’t miss the fire-making experience area. The safe fire cord set allows modern families to rediscover the wisdom of their ancestors. When you jointly blow out the flame, the smoky aroma of the local small bananas on the grill rises, which is more intuitive than any history textbook.

Day Three An eco-friendly art class
Want to help your child understand “turning waste into treasure”? The coconut workshop at Ponglang Valley will do just that. Watching Grandpa skillfully splitting the green coconuts and seeing the milky white juice splattering, the child realizes that the beverages they usually drink actually look like this. What’s even more interesting is the coconut shell recycling area. Under the guidance of a mentor, children over 5 years old can use safe carving knives to turn coconut shells into piggy banks. With the help of the zodiac template, they can carve cute little monkeys. The finished “Environmental Protection Little Guard” medals, often given out by the children, are proudly pinned all over their backpacks. The “Coconut Full Body Exhibition” in the workshop is even more astonishing – from coconut fiber ropes to coconut shell activated carbon, more than twenty kinds of derivatives tell the wisdom of sustainable living.
