Sanya Expands Its International Network! Signs Agreement with the Malaysia National Tourism Board; Overseas Promotion Center Officially Unveiled

The Sanya Tourism Development Bureau and the Malaysia National Tourism Board have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Cooperation, announcing that the Malaysia National Tourism Board has officially become a “Sanya Tourism Promotion Partner.” Leading organizations such as the Malaysian Business Hotels Association and the Federation of Malaysian Tourism have established overseas promotion liaison offices. Within just one month, a total of two tourism promotion partners and six Sanya tourism overseas promotion liaison offices have been established globally, located in key source markets including Germany, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Thailand, and Malaysia. This marks the official acceleration of Sanya’s international tourism market strategy, ushering in a new phase of development focused on enhancing quality and expanding scale.
During this visit, Sanya formally invited Malaysia to serve as the guest of honor at this year’s Tropical Coastal Cities Exchange event, providing a centralized showcase platform for the tourism industries of both regions and building a bridge for direct negotiations and in-depth cooperation among enterprises. At the same time, the delegation conducted intensive visits and negotiations with numerous key institutions and enterprises, including the Kuala Lumpur office of Ctrip International (TRIP), the organizing committee of the MATTA FAIR travel exhibition, and the Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association, among other industry representatives, to foster connections and support the diversified development of Sanya’s inbound tourism market in Southeast Asia. Furthermore, the delegation made a special visit to MATTA FAIR, Malaysia’s largest annual tourism exhibition, to gain an in-depth understanding of the tourism products developed by local travel agencies centered on Sanya and to gather market feedback, thereby further strengthening market alignment and product synergy.
