June 3–6: Sanya Takes Four-Day Tourism Promotion to Seoul, South Korea
From June 3 to 6, the Sanya Tourism Development Board, together with Hainan Airlines and other partners, headed to Seoul, South Korea, for an exciting four‑day tourism and cultural promotion.
This was far more than a simple “neighborhood visit.” With plenty of sincerity and exciting activities, Sanya is going all out to expand its Korean source market.
🎉 Big Crowds at the SITF Sanya Booth

The Seoul International Travel Fair (SITF) is Korea’s largest and most influential global travel event. This year it brought together over 420 cultural and tourism organizations from nearly 50 countries and regions.
The Sanya booth featured cultural experiences, food tastings, intangible cultural heritage crafts, interactive performances, and much more – giving Korean visitors an immersive taste of Sanya’s warmth and romance. 🌊🥥

🤝 New Liaison Office in Korea for Localized Operations
Back in May, the Sanya Tourism Development Board partnered with Marketing Highlands Co., Ltd., a well‑known Korean tourism marketing agency, to officially open the “Sanya Tourism Overseas Promotion Liaison Office (Korea).”
This marks a major step forward in Sanya’s marketing network for Northeast Asia – moving from “market first” to “cultivation first” – and achieving truly localized, targeted outreach.
At the travel fair, the new liaison office directly promoted and sold products, driving real conversion.

🏌️♂️ More Than Sun & Sand: Rainforest Wellness & Golf
This promotion highlighted Sanya’s unique offerings, including rainforest wellness and premium golf tours. Korean KOLs were invited to share, in a fun and relatable way, Sanya’s tropical beach resort resources, high‑end hotels, and intangible cultural heritage.

Many Korean visitors said on the spot: “We really want to go to Sanya!”
✈️ Full‑On Cooperation with Airlines & Travel Agents
During the event, the Sanya Tourism Development Board also visited the Hainan Tourism Seoul Promotion Office and held in‑depth talks with major Korean travel operators and airline representatives. Discussions covered co‑development of products, market co‑building, and air route passenger transport – leading to multiple cooperation agreements.
By combining exhibition promotion, targeted networking, and cultural experiences, Sanya not only gained strong visibility but also opened up new channels for steady future visitor flows.
