This summer, the coastal circuit of Sanya is set to host a thrilling speed carnival. On June 20, the Lianxin 2026 FE Formula E Sanya E-Prix will ignite the Haitang Bay street circuit. The event has now entered its countdown phase, with tickets officially on sale since 17:00 on May 27. As a world-class pure electric racing event, it will not only feature high-speed duels along the seaside streets but also integrate a diverse fan carnival and immersive interactive experiences—perfectly blending top-tier racing with an island resort atmosphere for an exclusive summer extravaganza.

High-Octane Return

After several years, Formula E makes a powerful return to Sanya. As the world’s first net-zero carbon professional racing series, FE is globally renowned for its distinctive city street circuits. For this event, the all-new GEN3 Evo race car will debut on the Haitang Bay coastal track, where sea breezes, palm-fringed views, and urban circuit design merge seamlessly—creating a unique immersive atmosphere that stands apart from conventional professional circuits.

The GEN3 Evo, introduced this season, features significantly enhanced performance: accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.86 seconds and reaching a top speed of 322 km/h—a major upgrade compared to the cars competing in the 2019 Sanya race. With its tight street corners and intense high-speed battles, FE has long been regarded by fans as more than just a competition; it’s a summer celebration of cutting-edge technology, ultimate speed, and urban culture.

Event Highlights

With tickets now on sale, a series of pre-event interactive activities for the FE Sanya E-Prix has already begun. From now until June 2, the GEN3 Evo car is on display at the indoor Zone near Gate 3, 1st Floor of Sanya Joy City. Visitors can take close-up photos with the car, and on weekends, fun racing interactive challenges will be held, offering chances to win exclusive event-themed merchandise.

Various ticketing options are available. General grandstand tickets cost 1,080 RMB. A specially designed parent-child package is offered at 1,280 RMB, including admission for one adult and one child aged 3–12, ensuring a comfortable and family-friendly race-viewing experience.

The highly popular interactive zone—the Fan Village—has been significantly upgraded this year and will be open to the public for free for the first time. The Fan Village features live music performances, racing e-sports interactions, big-screen race viewing, and more. Even if you’re not in the core track area, you can still fully immerse yourself in the thrilling race atmosphere. Only 3,000 free spots are available, and advance reservation is required.

Beyond the high-speed action, the 2026 FE Sanya E-Prix deeply integrates international racing with island vacation experiences and urban consumption scenarios. During the event, hotels, specialty dining, and Instagram-worthy spots in the Haitang Bay area will be fully revamped, collectively entering an enthusiastic “FE moment”—delivering a one-stop summer vacation and race-viewing experience.
