What kind of sparks will fly when the ultimate romance of roses meets the simple, exuberant celebrations of traditional ethnic festivals? On April 11 (9:00 AM–6:00 PM), the highlight of the Rose Culture Festival—the “Jiyang Flower Sea Circle of Unity: Singing and Celebrating ‘March 3rd’” themed event—will kick off in full swing at Yalong Bay International Rose Valley! On this day, the Rose Valley will transform into a large-scale amusement park brimming with ethnic charm, inviting you to a heartwarming, mutual celebration of “deep-rooted local traditions.”

🔥 Four core experience zones to keep you entertained all day long

01. Folk Sports Zone: A Clash of Strength and Fun Tired of conventional competitions? Try some authentic ethnic sports! The venue will feature traditional events such as Yajia (a form of wrestling), pole balancing, carrying a load across a log bridge, “pig-herding” races, wife-carrying, vine-climbing flower-picking, and wooden-shoe races, offering an immersive experience of the purest ethnic sports fun.

02. Fun Fair Zone: Win and Take Home a “Live Goose”! A fair for the whole family is here! Not only will there be “Arrow Tossing” to test your aim, but also down-to-earth games like “Duck Catching” and “Ring Toss.” The best part? The grand prize for Ring Toss is actually a live goose! Come show off your skills and take this special “prize” home.

03. Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop: Touch Ethnic Heritage Firsthand On-site workshops offer hands-on experiences with traditional crafts. Watch as local grandmothers demonstrate exquisite brocade weaving techniques, try your hand at making Li pottery, or craft your own Li-style brocade fridge magnet—taking home a unique piece of Sanya’s ethnic heritage.

04. Main Stage Performances: Celebrate the Festival Together with the Crowd Kicking off with the ethnic dance “Echoes of Mountains and Seas,” the day will feature a spectacular lineup of cultural performances. The melodious sounds of the Li Eight-Tone Music, the lyrical Tanka Fishermen’s Songs, and the spirited Coin-Bell and Double-Knife Dance will take the stage one after another. At the event’s conclusion, the entire audience will join in a joyful ethnic unity dance (bamboo pole dance), bringing the festive atmosphere to its peak!
